Mark Girolami

Mark Girolami is the Sir Kirby Laing Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where he also holds the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Chair in Data Centric Engineering. Prior to Cambridge he held the Chair of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London. Girolami was one of the founding executive directors of the Alan Turing Institute in the UK, where he established and led the Data Centric Engineering programme of research, he currently serves as the Chief Scientist at the Turing. Girolami is an elected fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and has held both Advanced and Established Career Research Fellowships from EPSRC, as well as a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award. He is currently Editor in Chief of the Cambridge University Press journal - Data Centric Engineering.
