The Project Network 5 comprises several interdisciplinary projects that deal with trade-offs between accuracy, precision and computational resources in simulations of complex systems such as, for instance, subsurface flows, multiphase flows, microstructure modelling of heterogenous solids, precipitation events or hydrological runoffs. In this presentation, PhD students working on these projects will demonstrate some of the highlights from their most recent research.
